IV Cortisone For Sciatica Not Great

It has been bandied about for years that IV steroids might effect relief in sciatica. Now it looks like little benefit –  though if they did the stats right, they could show a little on day three.

  • Intravenous injections of methylprednisolone (60 mg/d), ketoprofen (200 mg/d) or placebo for five days
  • 17-19 in each group

Comment – they did stats work that suggested day 3 maybe better with IV steroids but I’m not seeing it…
